A ranger leads the program at the day-use fishing pier. Loaner gear is available, personal gear is welcome, and no fishing license is required for this activity.

Halloween at Purtis Creek: October 31

Purtis Creek has two Halloween activities on its October calendar:

  • Skins & Skulls at 4 p.m.: Explore the park’s collection and learn about local wildlife.
  • Trunk or Treat from 7–8:30 p.m.: Bring the family for an evening of costumes and candy.

Trunk or Treat meets at the day-use boat ramp. The organizer lists free entry for trick-or-treaters and people participating by handing out candy. Family-friendly costumes are encouraged, and minors must have adult supervision.
